Kristin Fisher has joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in the month of July 2021. In her new position, she covers all aspects of space, from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space companies and the advent to space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts and a space enthusiast was raised in the industry. She served for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump Administrations. While covering the impeachment trials of two presidents, 2020's Presidential Campaign, and both administrations attempts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus, Kristin covered a lot of other topics. She also went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Trump often. It included a secret trip to Afghanistan. Kristin worked her way through the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the network. She was awarded one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin, who is a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentaries, with clients like Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
